The
company believes its uniqueness in the ship management sphere stems

ship manager whilst at the same time offering the economy of scale

1992, Austen was accredited with the IS0 9002 Quality Management
Certificate for its marine personnel services and this has now been
upgraded to ISO 9001/2000. The company is also a member of the Singapore
Shipping Association. Presently we also provide crew and payroll
services encompassing nearly 4000 seagoing and shore based contract
personnel. Operationally and financially, the philosophy of Austen
is to provide a safe, effective management environment by means of
its team of dedicated and experienced professionals employing
proven but flexible management systems.

formed and incorporated by the joint participation of Stena (Northern Marine Management Ltd) and
P&O, Austen can offer clients a comprehensive matrix of
experience in all marine-related matters and is able to draw upon

In
the past we have also acted as general agents and employer for up
to 120 expatriate technical staff based at Sembawang
Shipyard for the commissioning of the world's largest new
building FPSO for Woodside, the "Northern
Endeavor". We have considerable experience in FPSO projects
and in addition to the above we have been involved with the
“ERHA”, "Sea Eagle", "Challis Venture",
"Jabiru Venture", "Skua Venture", "Lan
Shui", "Aqua Blu", "Ayer Biru"
and the "Nanhai Kai Tuo". We are also heavily involved with BLUEWATER’s new FPSO Project “Aoka Mizu”. In
all of the above instances we attended to all banking, employment
and Singapore
tax matters on behalf of each employee.
