Austen Maritime Services Pte Ltd is a joint venture company owned equally by P & O Martime Services Pty Ltd and Northern Marine Management Ltd (the international ship management arm of the Stena Group). It was set up in 1986 to provide various marine services in Singapore for the joint venture partners.

Austen provides payroll, manning, personnel and ship management services for the parent companies. We also act as agents in Singapore for P & O and Stena group vessels calling in to the port. Over the last 20 years the company has expanded its field of expertise considerably, to include representation for major shipbuilding and conversion projects, ship surveying on behalf of potential buyers and charterers and provision of financial, agency and payroll services to third parties. As the company expands so does our client base, and we have acted for the following third parties: Chevron-Texaco, Shell, Woodside Energy Ltd, Bluewater, Enterprise Oil, Phillips Petroleum, BP, Modec, BHP, Universe Tankships, General Maritime Corporation, Molax, SS Shipping, Brown and Root, Peerless Stena and Brambles Shipping. We also presently carry out onshore and offshore payroll contracts with Aramark, Stena Line, Code Engineering, Stena Drilling, BP, Enterprise Oil, Fircroft, Dare Personnel, Technip Oceania, Technip Offshore UK, Shell, Woodside, Alpha Petroleum Services, Fircroft and Orion Engineering.

Austen also act as the Singapore branch of Beaufort Shipping to coordinate local agency arrangements for our sister company in Australia.

We also have a 100% owned subsidiary company Francois Marine Services Private Limited, who specializes in ship chandlering, the provision of all ship supplies, deck and engine stores and other related services.
